Hi! I'm Tabitha O'Connell, an architectural historian based in New York State who follows my research whims in my spare time. Expect posts about buildings in and history of Troy, NY and the surrounding area, as well as miscellaneous other places where various research journeys have taken me.

Citations

I adore citations (please, everyone, always properly cite your sources!!) and particularly footnotes; however, Blogger doesn't have a built-in way to include footnotes, and coding them in myself with HTML would be more trouble than it's worth. I've thus opted to include in-text citations in the posts here, clunky as they are. When a source lacks an attributed author, as with many historical newspaper articles, the article title (or an abbreviated form of it) is used. A complete bibliography will always be included at the end of each post.

Photo Policy

I'll frequently be posting photos that I've taken. All photos taken by me are licensed under the Creative Commons Attribution-NonCommercial 4.0 International license.
